it's so wrong but it's alright ; 1:20 AM

DAMN. The Jason Mraz tix are almost already sold out! The good ones are anyways. Dang. So I guess it's a pass for me, sad to say. At least I hope I can get tickets to Cats. Missed Phantom of the Opera last year and Cats seems promising. I do hope Les Miserables come soon, I'd love to see the broadway production. The book was pretty awesome. (:

Anyways, I've been watching youtube and I was watching this interview with David Cook and he talked about Michael Johns and how he might not have won if Michael didn't get booted out prematurely. And I have to totally agree. I dare say Michael is actually better than David Archuleta and he'd beat that little boy hands down if David wasn't so tweeny. So, I searched up videos of songs that Michael sang and I was WOAH-ed. Seriously, he did a mean version of Bohemian Rhapsody. And there's this vid of him doing High and Dry, seriously good, and I mean seriously GOOD because I'm absolutely critical of idiots covering that song. Only Thom Yorke can sing Radiohead songs and do it justice but Michael comes close. Again, I stress, like I have a few months back, that he's version of Aerosmith's Dream On wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't bad. It's was decent and he shouldn't have been booted out. And like Ryan sad, it was one of those surprising departures that happened way too early, like in Chris Daughtry's case. So I hope Michael cuts a good album. I've heard his version of Tonic's If You Could Only See and it's solid. I'll probably wait for this album, now that I have Cook's album. Even Ellen said it was crazy that he left so early in the competition! Damn the little kid who's so tweeny.

Words ; 8:19 PM

OMG, haha, Kris and I have been going shopping everyday during our lunch hour. We always eat super fast, or eat in the office before our lunch and then go SHOPPING. And we went to Charles and Keith and tried on ALOT of shoes. OMG, we've almost the same size (her feet are a bit bigger though) and so we share the same agony of not being able to try on display pieces/getting certain pieces in our size. I'm sure all the big footed people understand our pain. So Kris got a pair of heels from Rachel G, most of the footwear were going at 50% off and I got my black paten booties from DMK. They're gonna make me tall! I tried them on last night and walked around the house and I walked over to the door and wanted to look through the peephole and I HAD TO BEND DOWN! (:

Reception duty the other day was fun cuz Kris and I were gossiping and she was telling me about her Keith and Jack and I was complaining about the rubbish cowardly people who complained about me and on both occassions, I did nothing wrong! it's seriously ridiculous that they don't even thank you or smile when I slog my eyes out to approve their HUNDREDS of documents each day but once something goes wrong, the first person they blame is me. Like PISS OFF MAN. SERIOUSLY. But back to talking about guys in the office, there's not one single decent fella. Keith is kind of scary cuz he stared at me yesterday and gave me a weird look. And Jack is pretty okay looking but he's a but gay-ish. There's this really tall guy but he's not cute at all. The rest of the guys are well, not good looking, married or to put it simply, cannot make it.

Watching American Idol has got me singing again. Not that I've stopped, but that I'm singing more often, like not just in the shower anymore. I was humming Paolo Nutini through out yesterday, in the train and at work. And today was a lot of songs, the most recent one being She Talks To Angels. I really would like to be able to stum and sing simultaneously but I can't. It always looks so easy, like when the singers of bands sing their acoustic songs and all, but it isn't! And Chris Martin has got me wanting to play the piano again! I was watching Channel V the other day and the had a Coldplay concert, it was AWESOME. Clocks, Yellow, The Scientist, Fix You, Speed of Sound. Chris Martin is good live. But I was left wondering why he didn't write his usual "Make Trade Fair" wordings on his piano of some other instrument. He usually does. Ooooh, and MTV had a RHCP concert on the other day. Anthony Keidis. WOW. And John the guitarist was SO IMPRESSIVE. He and Flea were doing their solos and then they started the Californication intro and really, WOW. Again, I'd like to stress what a lyrical genius Keidis is! Californication was actually inspired by this old women who kept telling him that China were making pyschic spies, hence the "psychic spies from china try to steal your mind's elation" bit at the beginning!

And one more thing, I seriously can't stand people going crazy over Iron and Wine now just because of Flightless Bird. And before any idiot comes and say "MEL, I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS GREAT BAND, IRON AND WINE. THEY HAVE THIS GREAT SONG CALLED FLIGHTLESS BIRD!!!!"

PUH-LEASE. Stop yourself. Number 1, thank you, but I do know about Iron and Wine. IN FACT, I've known them for quite some time already, I think it's been about 2 to 3 years now. So I don't think I need you to tell me about them. Number 2, Iron and Wine is famous for Naked As We Came. And it happened way before Flightless Bird. So yes, there you go.

The world had lost its glory, let's start a brand new story now, my love.

Work Is? ; 2:53 PM

I swear, working is TIRING. It drains the living hell out of me. It isn't as physically taxing than it is mentally cuz I have to stare at numbers and names all day long and my eyes are going to give way soon. Another ONE month and at least I can quit if it doesn't work out. And I tell you, the first day after Andrea left, I got bullied. That idiot guy went fotchr a super LONG lunch and I can't go for lunch unless he comes back and Kris couldn't wait for me any longer so I got her to da pao back for me. The best thing was that idiot only came back after Kris came back with my lunch, at one freaking thirty. And so I ate at my table and people continued giving me work to do even as I was eating. So, I'm gonna say I DIDN'T GO FOR LUNCH ON FRIDAY. RAHHHHHHHH.

And food doesn't come particularly cheap at Raffles Places either. Transport cost is a bitch too. Damn. Money really isn't easy to come by nowadays. Now I know first hand. I just hope that idiot comes back on time tomorrow.

Anyways, just went to shoot macro pictures with Brandon. I'm rathered erred. There was this really nice insect on the leaf and so I took the first shot, then Brandon spammed shot it with like 8 shots? Then I tried again, AND IT FLEW AWAY. Stupid insect. We took a lot of flowers, then it started raining. Argh.

Again, I shall say I dread going to work tomorrow. Shermaine's constantly reminding me to go in later. LOL. She pm-ed me and told me not to go in so early, she said I should go in at 9.30am. NICE ONE. She justified, saying the perm people come in at 9.43am! LOL. Need to sleep early tonight. Sigh.

Ultraviolet ; 3:30 AM

I haven't seen a single clip of Fight Quest in donks. It's probably a new record! Oh, but every single time I crave doughnuts I still think of Doug! Sweet ol' Abs-of-Steel Doug. I have yet to print screen my favourite shot in Fight Quest. HAHA. Which reminds me. (:

Another late night of Bridge again as you can see. But I spent the day cleaning my room with Mum. We packed some of my stuffed toys in to this big huge box and we cleaned a lot of things. Dust was present everywhere and Mum made me clean EVERY SINGLE ONE of my CDs. I almost died. had to pull each one of of its allocated slot, clean every visible surface and then put them back. It sounds easy but try doing that 86 times and you'll understand my agony. Luckily Dad took some of my CDs down so there was less to clean! Then we repacked and reorganised my room so now, my floor is majorly less cluttered! No more squatter settlements! Tomorrow's mission: Mission Clean Table. LOL. I cringe in fear.

Thinking of getting a camera! I'm torn between getting Diana F+ with the different lenses package or the simple fisheye Lomo. The only thing stopping me from getting Diana is that it's a 120mm film thing, which is a pain on my wallet because each film roll costs $$ and there's only like say 12 shots per film? That adds up to ALOT. The fisheye is economical but there'e only one effect. At least Diana's colour saturation is pretty and I can attach the fisheye lens as and when I want to. Money would seriously solve this problem won't it? (;

I would love to sit at Pacific and read my books and sip coffee all day long but that wouldn't be practical would it? Needless to say...

That fire you ignited
Good, bad and undecided
Burns when I stand beside it
Your light is ultraviolet

I'm Loving Angels Instead ; 3:18 AM

Apparently, I have become a Bridge addict! And it's all of another Bridge addict's fault! Oh, but I won my last game so ended today's session on a GOOD note!

Transport costs are killing me I tell you. OMG, I wanna strangle Raymond Lim. The stupid governement keeps wanting people to take public transport more frequently and yet, it costs a BOMB. Yes, BOMB, now run, people from MRT stations who see a suspicious article! My heart aches sooo much now when I hear a TEET instead of TEET TEET. BOOYOU. Travelling to Harbourfront was crazily expensive, considering I just stepped out of my 45cents travelling mode, in which I totally abuse the MRT and I take one stop here, one stop there.

Went SHOPPING with CHOOO yesterday, walked everywhere with her as she was looking for her clutch. And she bought a dress! I only bought a necklace, okay, it shouldn't be A necklace, it should be ANOTHER necklace. Oh, but I can't kick my bird/feather obsession so I succumbed. Besides that, all I sent on was on foooood. Ate lunch at the food court trying to save money, where CHOO bought tissue from that poor-thing auntie! Then we wenr to lim kopi at Pacific. We meant to hijack the swing but we settled for the boat seat, which was still comfy enough. Kicked out our shoes and listened to LIFEHOUSE! And of course, camwhored as usual, but the fruits of our labour weren't as good as the last time. AND THEN, we spend like 5 minutes searching for the spiderpig part in the Simpsons movie. You could hear us laughing a mile away! (:

My mum says I should buy the grey leggings, and even after I said I already had 3 black pairs. But she added "Just that you don't look nice in leggings."
LIKE WTH. CHOOOOO, next time we wear leggings together! And carry that HK starry bag and wear our blue Crocs! We'll look SUPER lesbian! LOL.

And I bought PEANUT BUTTERCUPS! (: BUY ONE GET ONE FREE LEHHH! I WAS SO EXCITED I BOUGHT 4 PACKETS! TWO FOR ME, ONE FOR BRANDON AND ONE FOR JIAYUN! Brudder, THANKS SOOOO MUCH FOR TELLING ME! :D

I'm loving angels instead.

Bridge! ; 2:27 AM

I guess I started 2009 on a bad note, slammed a few doors and shouted alot, but hey, when someone shouts at me and it's not my fault, I shout back and I have a right to get pissed off. I AM NOT AFRAID OF YOU.

Then the rain came and washed all the negativity away, which was good. I like the rain, it washes all the crappiness away. Cleanses everything and leaves a new untainted world.

So off we went to Giant, I now HATE pushing trolleys. God, the next time I get to push a trolley, I'll make sure I purposely bang into people and run over some toes. get back at all the idiots who don't know how to push trolleys and all the other idiots not pushing trolley, who think they're so skinny, well wake up, YOU'RE FUCKING FAT. So get out of my way!

Then off to Steamboat, which was disappointing. The standard of our favourite chicken rice steamboat with pork chop had dropped drastically. So not worth it.

Die, now I'm hooked to bridge! Can't stop playing on Viwawa and me and Amelia cheat by talking on MSN. HAH. Damn, I had all four Aces in one round! What luck! And in another, I won NINE sets! WHOOOOOOSH. (:

LOOKIE LOOKIE, it's 2.40pm and I have to get up at 7am tomorrow to jog!
I hope it doesn't rain like it did the last time! Time for my nap! (:
