Well I heard there was a secret chordThat David played and it pleased the LordBut you don't really care for music, do ya?Well it goes like this: The fourth, the fifthThe minor fall and the major liftThe baffled king composing HallelujahWell your faith was strong but you needed proofYou saw her bathing on the roofHer beauty and the moonlight overthrew yaAnd she tied you to her kitchen chairShe broke your throne and she cut your hairAnd from your lips she drew the HallelujahBaby I've been here beforeI've seen this room and I've walked this floorI used to live alone before I knew yaAnd I've seen your flag on the marble archAnd love is not a victory marchIt's a cold and it's a broken HallelujahWell there was a time when you let me knowWhat's really going on belowBut now you never show that to me do yaBut remember when I moved in youAnd the holy dove was moving tooAnd every breath we drew was HallelujahMaybe there's a God aboveBut all I've ever learned from loveWas how to shoot somebody who outdrew yaAnd it's not a cry that you hear at nightIt's not somebody who's seen the lightIt's a cold and it's a broken HallelujahJeff Buckley, Rest In Peace.
It was such a waste, you drowning, when you had such a promising life ahead of you.
Your songs resonate with such raw emotions, passion, it's electrifying.
I think the Brits are taking over the world!
My week started of amazingly, thanks to the fantabulous Coldplay (definitely British) and their rocking concert at the Indoor Stadium and it came to a good end with Jenson Button (British too) winning the Melbourne Grand Prix!
I knew that guy had something inside of him! Ever since 2004's season when he was dominating the third place behind the remarkable Michael Schumacher and Barrichello, I was hoping for him to rise up and claim something but the past few years hasn't been good to him.
But oh, this season started on fantastic grounds! Brawn GP racing secured a 1-2 start on the grid and clinched a 1-2 win at the checked flag and to top it off, at its maiden debut! YEAH BABY. That's the way to rock the F1 world! Personally, I think Barrichello was lucky to be second because the idiot that is Kubica knocked out Vettel while trying to overtake him during the last lap. Pure idiot. And the both of them just threw their point-scoring positions away, giving Barrichello his sweet sweet second place victory!
This coming from a team who wasn't even sure that they would be racing just one month agao and who just got their first sponsor a couple of days ago. Richard Branson (another Brit!), good choice man!
See, the Brit's are slowly taking over the world! You heard it first here! Now shhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone! (:
Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, Guy Berryman and Chris Martin, the wise one who plays guitar, the frightening one who plays drums, the very handsome one who plays bass, and the other one who sings, respectively, thank you bunches for giving me the BEST SHOW OF MY LIFE!
Last night was simply the most awesome night of all. I thought it was entertaining, captivating, interactive, energetic, heart (and fist!)-pumping, well, to describe it all in a word, AMAZING!
So nevermind that they only came on stage at 9.05pm, nevermind the fact that Mercury Rev wasn't particularly my cup of tea, nevermind that I had to go pee even before the concert and I didn't because I was too afraid that they'll start without me. God, it was all worth it! The moment they ran onstage with sparklers in hand, I knew it was going to be magic! And boy, was I right!

Chris Martin engaged every single one of the 10 000 people in the audience throughout the two odd hours, chatting while he played the piano, running down the side stages, lying on the floor and refusing to get up until everyone was singing the oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (from Viva la Vida).
Yellow was a clear crowd favourite and huge yellow balloons came flying out of no where for the audience to hit around in the air and when Chris or Jonny used the guitar necks to hit it hard enough, the balloons burst and confetti came flying out! Chris even sang an extra line at the end for us to sing along!

As expected, awesome laser show during Clocks, which we sang and clapped and stomped along to. Violet hill had really nice violet (duh!) lights and Strawberry Swing had pink ones. Needless to say, Yellow had, well yellow, lights! The video projected on the screen during Lovers In Japan was really nice, really in theme with the lyrics. The encore of The Scientist and Life in Technicolor 2 was great, with every single one singing along, and we did the Mexican Wave in between. It was fun using our cellphones to do the wave!
The best part was when the entire band started running through the audience only to stop and stand on the seats to play 2 songs acoustic. It was such a clever move to engage and include the audience even more! Everyone near that area typically swamped over to take pictures and videos!
The only slight disappointment I had with the entire night was that they didn't perform the entire Talk, but rather only the first verse and a chorus. Plus my camera haywired through Lost so I only took a few pictures. Other than that, it was
MAGIC!

Oh, I can't wait! It's so exciting that I'll be watching Coldplay in less than 8 hours, given that they're not late! Chanced upon the Coldplay dolls when visiting their site, totally cute! The same ones from the Technicolor video! The dolls keep appearing in photos of places the bands have performed in recently! Imagine tomorrow, a picture of the dolls in front of the Merlion? (:
Now my feet won't touch the ground!
On the last day of work,
Violet: Little girl! You must find a boyfriend leh!
Me: Why?
A whole conversation about the kind of boyfriend I should find, like rich, charming, caring etc. I then proceeded to tell her about my mum wanting me to marry the Crime Watch guy and some other stuff that Violet told me were bad about policemen.
Violet: You must find a tall boyfriend!
Me: WHY?
Violet: Do you want to turn around and be able to look him in the eye without tiptoe-ing or looking up?
Me: I don't want to have to tilt my head all the way back just to see him! Then I want to kiss him how? Cannot reach!
Violet: No larh, just find a tall boyfriend!
Me: Tall, how tall? Like James tall?
Violet: NOOOOOOO, James tall is CRAZY. That's too tall!
Me: Ermmmmmm........
Violet: Nonono, James is gooood! He will carry you to kiss you!
Me: Yup, okaaaaaaay. Right.
*Dead silence* Until we changed topics.
Anyway, I'm dead sad that I changed jobs. The new job is kind of boring and mundane and it's super admin. Update system, generate letter, edit letter, print letter, print relevant questionnaire, give supervisor check, arrange letter, fold letter, send letter! Filing and retrieving cases included too.
It makes me miss UOB. At least it was stimulating and I had to be alert and look out for missing things. I knew the ropes and everything was just so natural. I'm sure I'll learn the ropes at this new place and everything will get easier but still, I find myself thinking about UOB during work. It's daunting, to be haunted like that. Everyday is like, that voice sounds like so-and-so's voice and that person looks like so-and-so.
Maybe I should have just killed the bitch sitting behind me and everything would have been fine. And stayed at UOB where I know almost EVERYONE. And I could continue disturbing and joking with my 5 favourite perm staffs!
It's sad. Really. I hope it gets better.
I miss the way the people at UOB dress too. Or rather, Raffles Place. They're all so prim and proper, with their Loewes and Louboutins, most of them anyway. I miss having to dress up for work!
Black pants, brown shoes
I miss you
Glad it's finally over.
It was such a relief and I'm happy with the outcome.
Definitely much better than I expected.
But do I deserve it? Heck yes!
I worked my butt off for this so don't you dare think it came easy.
But now, even as one worry has passed, another is looming by.
Which one do I choose?
Choices, choices, choices.
I remember a quote I heard on tv: In life, there are always choices. It's just whether you make the right ones.
I hope I will.
