As you can see, TWO MAJOR chips on the middle finger and a small on on the index finger.

Again, a noticeable chip on the index finger and 2 smaller chips suffered on the middle and ring finger!
Application wise, I did three coats for JITNB and two for STWD, the difference only to achieve a smoother looking finish. As for the base and top coats, here'w where it gets a little tricky:
Left hand:
Thumb: Nil, no top or base coat, just colour
Index: No base coat at the bottom but I used the base as a top coat above the colour instead
Middle: No base coat again, but I used a base coat and then a top coat on top of the colour
Ring: Nil, no base or top coat, just colour
Pinkie: No base coat. Only top coat above the colour
Right hand:
Thumb: Base coat, colour, no top top
Index: Base coat, colour, top coat
Middle: Base colour, colour, no top coat
Ring: Base coat, colour, nase coat, top coat
Pinky: Base coat, colour, base coat
My observations were that Ski Teal We Drop's formula wasn't as solid as Jade is the New Black's! STWD suffered substantially bigger chips and it peel a little as well, while JITNB performed a little better. I don't think the number of coats affected this wear test because the more coats you paint, the faster it chips so it runs contrary to this case in fact! I also think the chips occured on the fingers I used most, like the index and middle fingers, no matter which combination of base and top coats I used!
So, results: INCONCLUSIVE! Sigh.
What say you?
