I fell from my high horse today. I always expected myself to do well. Especially for that particular module. So when I got back my paper and saw a B, my heart fell to the ground. B, tsk. I thought I would have done better. The way I crafted my answer, so well thought of, so subtle. Apparently it was too subtle. The marker couldn't get enough of it to give me a B+ at the very least.
So I was down, and I was hungry. Sze Xia was kind enough to go get some food with me at JP after school. We ate curry puffs and walked around! I engaged in some retail therapy, like my new black knuckle armour ring from Diva! $10 only! How could I resist? And we went into Nature Republic and what did I see? A China Glaze For Audrey dupe! It's so close I tell you, and I have pictures to prove it! It's $5.90 btw, not the $2.10 range, if not I'd have bought a bottle back!
Middle Finger: Nature Republic colour, Index: China Glaze For Audrey
Both are two coats on top of a solid black! I apologize for how haphazardly painted they are.
The one from Nature Republic is a bit thicker, bluer and more cloudy as compared to For Audrey. Hope that makes sense! To an untrained eye, the difference would probably be negligible! Please also ignore my discoloured and yellow naked nails. (S, this is how my naked nail look like.)
And then I saw this really cool top coat! It's glittery and it's so pretty! The glitter particles are so small and they're multi-coloured!! French tipped my black thumb nail! Hope you can see the glitter in the next pic! In case you can't, it's purple and blue and green! I was so stupid, thinking I needed certain colours with glitters in them when I already had a similar colour of the same base colour! I forgot I could just buy a glitter top coat and paint it on top! This one's really nice! $5.70 from Nature Republic too!

Oooh, and here's my ring combo from Saturday's lunch! I love how the nail colours and the rings are matchy matchy but they're still edgy enough! Bought both rings in school a few months ago!

Sorry if I'm boring you with too much nail stuff these days. It's just that they bring me great joy! Polish is my only vice. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs. I paint my nails.
And btw, I don't think I need to do up an entry on how I do my nails right? You guys know the drill right? Base coat, colour, top coat! Easy peasy. Plus you can go read up on other blogs if you want to know!
Oh, one tip though, always always always start with clean nails. This means no moisturiser, nail supplements or nail essences and whathaveyous. The oils in those combined with the residue will cause the polish you paint on to adhere less to your nails! You should in fact put your nail supplements (it's like a polish form, I got mine for faceshop, $2.90 only!) after you take your polish off. That's when your nails are the most dehydrated (from the alcohol in the remover). But you can moisturise after your polish has dried! Keep your cuticles hydrated! But then again, if you're using matte polishes, absolutely no moisturisers. Don't even paint a base coat!
My Black Onyx nails chipped today. I was secretly hoping they would so I could paint a new colour! Thinking of a soft pink/nude! Probably go with either OPI Dulce de Leche or Tickle My France-y! Will post a picture of it when I do up my nails!
Moving on to something more exciting, someone fainted in the train today. In the cabin I was in! I heard she was carrying her toddler so when she blacked out, she dropped him! He's okay, I heard him crying but no damage done to him! And the surrounding people pressed the emergency brake button! And let me tell you, IT WORKS. The train was going pretty fast and it jerked real hard. My day was so dramatic!
