I was in a pretty despressed state during the whole train ride and I think my iPod has proven it knows me best. It was constantly churning out song after song that helped improve my mood. Note that my iPod was on shuffle, these were the songs it played: Human (Jon McLaughlin), Dark Blue (Jack's Mannequin), Move Along (All American Rejects), Wash Away (Joe Purdy), Crazy (Seal), Always Where I Need to Be (The Kooks), Why Does It Always Rain On Me (Travis), Here Comes the Sun (The Beatles), Hopeless (Train), Knocking on Heaven's Door (Avril's cover version), Lost! (Coldplay), City of Blinding Lights (U2) and Naive (The Kooks).
I was really pondering what would happen if I jumped. Would people be sad? Would people even know? Will people remember me? And then Move Along played and in case you didn't know the story behind Move Along, Tyler Ritter wrote Move Along after his good friend commited suicide. The mysteries of life and the wonders of my iPod's shuffle.
When all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
